UNIDO has access to a number of dependable financial
channels. It has cooperative relationships with institutions
operating under the framework of the United Nations, including
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank, IFC,
International Development Association (IDA), United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP), Global Conventions and other
multilateral and bilateral donors. In addition, UNIDO has
also forged an active working relationship with several financial
organizations, investment banks and specialized investment
funds, including the Asia Development Bank, the European Union
EuropeAid, Nordic Investment Bank, African Development Bank,
HSBC Asia Investment, Asia Development Fund, Morgan Stanley
and Merrill Lynch. UNIDO has links with more than 30, 000
enterprises and investment institutions in the developed world.
UNIDO's regular budget comes from subscription fees from
its member countries. Technical cooperative programmes are
typically supported by specific donations or Global Environment
Fund.
